And In my moms side my mother has 3 sisters but they live far away but we always visit them as much as we can.

Ardell Luy: Is my family big on birthdays? Absolutely. It's more like Birthweek or Birthmonth. I always have a party with friends, a party with just my family, and a huge one with all my family ( aunts, uncles, cousins.) In school, I always get flowers and balloons delivered to me. It can be embarrassing, I suppose, but I love it.

Granville Stray: Growing up my family wasn't big on birthdays either. My parents would get you a little gift and that was that no parties , cake, ice cream and no celebration. Like you said it was another day! To be honest my parents actually forgot my birthday once. Don't get me wrong they are great parents but even great parents have even have some little faults!Birthdays is the one thing I changed in my family now. I always make sure my son always a cake for his birthday , present , and tell him happy birthday several times that day and get a picture of him with a cake. I do celebrate his milestone birthdays with small parties with family his 1st birthday ,3rd birthday,5th birthday . 10 birthday this year he had a themed birthday party with family and couple of his friends we had a blast! I plan to have parties for him on these birthdays too 13, 16, 18. Then anything in between just a cake and a present and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!I cha! nged everything because when I was growing up I saw my friends and family having birthday parties and I thought it must be great to have your own special day and have people make you feel special that day. I wanted my son to know that feeling. Don't get me wrong I always try to make my son feel special he is the center of my world it is just another way he will.My son and I always get my husband a cake and present for his birthday .My son always makes him a birthday card and then when its my birthday my husband and son get me a present and gift and my son always makes me a card! Maria Devenney: My family always went all out for birthdays, but the man I married was like yours-no big deal. Now, since being married to this man, he now gets hurt if we dont do something really big for his birthday. This tradition has been passed on to my great grandchildren. We keep Chuck-E-Cheese and every spot in town in business. We say it's for the kids-yeah-right.

Queenie Ruthers: Ya. We also celebrate our dogs B-day and anniversary. Her B-day is 9/9/01 and her anniversary is 11/23/01 and that's when we first got her from the dog pound. We celebrate B-days by getting presents and the person having the B-day gets to decide what to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
