DSLR's are also SLR's. We wouldn't want to name film SLR's "FSLR" now would we?One way to be sure about this is to turn off the camera. Look through the small viewfinder. If you see through it, it's an SLR. If the small viewfinder only works if power is on, it's a bridge or a hybrid.
