answers 0:or it has to be treted by an oral and a maxillofacial surgeon as he is facing a problem with his jawbone.answers 1:Yes it can be treated by a dentist who specializes in oral surgeryanswers 2:i bet its a bad tooth run to the er do you realize that a bad tooth can cause heart valve problems.answers 3:truth be told depends on allot of things. one if your fathers jaw may be broken he should go to the hospitol. also as to what doctor he should go depends on his insurance. because its his jaw and not his teeth his dental may not cover it and his medical may pick it up. how ever either way he will more then likely need a referal because it may end up being coverd by his dental. his best bet is to go to the hospital. there the hospital can asses if it is broken of just dislocated wich trust me feels like you broke your jaw ! and make so you have less jaw mobilty. if its dislocated it can be put back mostly or all the way into place. how ever if his jaw truly is broken it depends on the break. also if a specialist is required then the hospital will call in the correct specialst. that way your father wont have tomake an apt jump in the car go to his regular dentist make an apt jump in the car and go to see the special list. the is more complex then we relize and needs to be taken care of quickly and since this is a weekend and im sure he is in a great deal of pain he really should go to the hospital. even though he probably doesnt want to . oh and an fyi with a dislocated jaw cambles soups in those cup things are are easy to eat cause they just pour down . you dont have to chew on n e thing....answers 4:A maxilofacial, and bones in that area are difficult to work with.
