I have been living in USA for 9 years does that mean that I have my green card?

Lynn Hollars: if you are illegal then NO you do not get a green card

Mayola Sylva: well if your husband lives in the free democratic country of denmark , go and join him.or do you think he get's asyl in the usa?

Marylee Lucks: The CIS should send the EAD card to you. The green card is a separate document entirely, and its issuance is a different matter.

Elmo Tervo: My employer is applying for me. Who does USCIS send the EAD/green card to? me or the company?

Miguel Densley: If you have been living in the US for 9 years you are either an illegal or you do have a green card, assuming you're not a US citizen. Permanent resident is a type of Visa you can get and yes, it is written on your green card.If you were born in the US and you are a citizen then I don't think that you need a green card, unless you plan to live in another country. In that case you would need that country's equivalent to a green card. To travel to another country all you would nee! d is your passport. To travel to another state you don't need any of that....Show more

Cedric Grimstead: Your husband would have to process your spouse by filing an I-730, which would then be sent through the National Visa Center and on to the embassy in Copenhagen to be processes as a Visas 92/93. Your spouse would also get refugee status, assuming you were legally married before you got refugee status. If your spouse is actually a Danish citizen, rather than a refugee resettled in Denmark, that could raise questions about your status in the US, particularly if you failed to mention it when you were being considered for refugee resettlement in the US. Once USCIS processes the paperwork, it should go out to the embassy fairly quickly. But, it's hard to say how long that will really take....Show more

Caryl Mclaen: I don't know do you have something in your hand that says "Permanent Resident Card?" If you do, then you have a green card.

Rosalva Steinmann: ! Have you got a SSN ..do your parents have a Driving License if! no .. you are in the US illegally

Will Camus: No.

Dionna Doyel: What are the detail steps that I would have to take to marry someone who is on a work Visa? What would happen if I married the person 3 months before their Visa duration for working here is expired? Also, this would be a same-sex marriage. Would it be much more difficult to marry or just the same as opposite sex marriage in Canada?...Show more

King Bringle: Troll question this. Danish refugee lmao

Irma Poiter: Do you parents have greencards, if they do then you are ok, if they dont then it means that they are here illegaly.

Ronald Moehr: thanks for all yr answer but we are not refugee from Denmark; Denmark is great country but family reunification is very difficult there; iam refugee from iraq and have i-94 in USA ; so i want my husband join me in USA..

Roselee Mczeal: you may not have one and be an illegal since your parents do not want to tell you what is going on

Ber! ry Gilmore: I am a Canadian Citizen, How can I marry someone on a Work Visa? - get a marriage licence and get married. What are the detail steps that I would have to take to marry someone who is on a work Visa? as above - get a marriage license and get marriedWhat would happen if I married the person 3 months before their Visa duration for working here is expired?if their employer is willing to get the the work permit extended and still employ your fiance, then thats fine, they are still legal and can still work. Howvere if the employer does NOT want to extend the visa and hire your fiance, then you need to do some fast work. you will have to apply to change their status back to a visitor and then use something that shows you intend to apply as a PR as your proof. the best way to do this is to pay the fees (online and KEEP the receipt) and start filling out an application form. Also your fiance MUST get a police check from their home country - to verify they have NO crimina! l record. Also, this would be a same-sex marriage. Would it be much mor! e difficult to marry or just the same as opposite sex marriage in Canada?NO no different at allYou must have sent in or be about to send in an application for PR status. And you must have paid the fees. ($500 + $475)http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applicati... (fees)This is your guide to applyinghttp://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applicati...guide to applyingYou need to print out the below form from the computer and fill it out with NO errors - if this means you need to print out a few copies then you make lots of copies. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM134...application form PDFYou must have the following documents that are applicable to you. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM544...PDF checklistif you have any questions, then email me and ask....Show more

Bell Pasco: I don't think the person asking this quesin is a refugee from Demnark, just stating her husband is Danish. After all, my friend just went back to denmark from ! the U.S. since demnak is currently better off and a nice place to live.A refugee from Denmark would be funny.

Travis Sherrock: ?? Refugees from Denmark? I didn't know they had a repressive regime in Denmark.Or is fleeing the cold now a refugee claim?

Joni Ziak: Just because you have been living in the U.S. for 9 years does not mean you automatically have a green card. If your parents are telling you that you have to wait until your green card arrives means you do not have one. Permanent residency or a "permanent resident card" is just another name for a green card. If your grandma does not live outside the U.S. border or U.S. claimed territories then you can visit her as long as you have a valid picture id.

Madlyn Fallis: From my knowledge Canada as a commonwealth country, you can marry someone with a work visa, its not an issue at allApplying for a residency for him or her is another issueHope that helps...Show more

Charlotte Bryar:

Newton ! Fedorko: First of all it only takes a few months to get a green card, b! ut its different for some other countries. If you lived in the US for nine years must have one. Do you have a SSN, if so you have a green card. As for visiting your grandparents that is in the US all you need is a form of identification.

Fannie Collingwood: Both documents (EAD and green card) will be mailed to you directly because you are an applicant, and hopefully, you provided your home/mailing address on the forms I-485 and I-765. Your employer is a petitioner under a separate petition (I-140).

Filiberto Ranalli: permanent residency in this context is a legal term and doesn't really have anything to do with how long you lived in the US. In order to find out whether you have a greencard you need to ask your parents. If your parents have a greencard and you are under 18 you should also have one. If your parents have applied for a greencard and are waiting for the process to complete you also have to wait....Show more

Stephnie Patout: a green card states ! you are a permanent resident. It may be that it was lost so what you can do is contact USCIS about it.
